Wow the low - your garden being mowed down. The highs- some plants remain intact, you were able to offer some verbena and yarrow to help your neighbor and you ranked Top 10 in Substack’s Home and Garden Rising category! Maybe another high will be the city sending an apology note along with an offer to replace what they took. Sorry this happened, gardening is hard work (for me at least!) 😀
I guess the Weedwhacker folks in the city of Quincy have not read how other communities in Boston are getting rid of lawn grass along roadways in order to allow native plants to grow… so much better for bees and other pollinators and for our environment. I suppose these folk were following directions… sounds like some conversations need to happen and some trainings.
